Remove Watermark
Why watermark removal is limited, and what actually works.
What Pdflify can and cannot do here
A watermark becomes part of the page content once a PDF is saved. Deleting it cleanly without damaging the text underneath is not possible with a generic browser tool, and removing someone else's watermark may infringe their rights.
1. Ask for a clean copy
The fastest and most legitimate route is requesting the original from whoever produced it.
2. Crop an edge watermark
If the mark sits in a margin, /tools/pdf-cropper/ can trim it away.
3. Re-export from the source
If it is your own document, remove the watermark in the original file and export again.
Frequently asked questions
Is Remove Watermark free to use?
Yes. Every tool on Pdflify is free and needs no account.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool reads and rewrites your file inside your browser tab using JavaScript, so the document itself never leaves your device.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The workspace is responsive and works with touch, though very large files depend on your device's memory.
What if my PDF is password protected?
Encrypted files cannot be opened in the browser. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, then try again.
