PDF to Word

Understand your options for moving PDF content into Word.

What Pdflify can and cannot do here

Pdflify runs entirely in your browser, and reliable PDF-to-DOCX conversion needs layout analysis that browser-side JavaScript cannot do accurately. Rather than hand you a broken file, here is what actually works.

1. Use PDF to TXT, then paste into Word

/tools/pdf-to-txt/ pulls the text layer out of your PDF. Paste it into a new Word document and apply your own styles — accurate text, your formatting.

2. Open the PDF directly in Microsoft Word

Word 2013 and later can open a PDF and rebuild it as an editable document. File → Open → select the PDF.

3. Use Google Docs

Upload the PDF to Google Drive, right-click it and choose Open with → Google Docs, then download as .docx.

No fake processing. This page does not pretend to convert your file. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is generated here.

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF to Word free to use?

Yes. Every tool on Pdflify is free and needs no account.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool reads and rewrites your file inside your browser tab using JavaScript, so the document itself never leaves your device.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The workspace is responsive and works with touch, though very large files depend on your device's memory.

What if my PDF is password protected?

Encrypted files cannot be opened in the browser. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, then try again.
